FAQs about OAM

1.  Does OAM, Inc. work with churches?

Yes. First, various  groups from churches are trained to do evangelism.
We also have two "hands on" projects which churches can use to be involved in this ministry.

Second, churches often like to hear what is happening with the ministry, so Joe
goes to those churches to share the ministry and preach God's word. There are
also times to do VBS closings or other church related events.

2.  Where does OAM do its outreach?

Outreach happens on college campuses, at bus stops, on the streets of a
city, on the boardwalk at the beach, at various events such as Mardi Gras,
Spring Break weeks,  Indy 500 and other events.

Although sometimes Joe works alone, he usually works  with one or two other evangelists
on  the streets or on college campuses. This is more productive, more encouraging, and
simply more helpful than doing ministry alone. When working events, we usually go  as a
      larger group.

3.  How is OAM supported?

Most of the support comes through the Evangelical Congregational churches and
individuals who believe in this ministry.

4. What are some ways that people have been involved in this ministry?

Most people support us through praying for us and giving financially. But some
have gotten involved by coming to do evangelism with us or sending their own
youth groups to be involved. Others have supplied places for us to stay while we
travel to events or for beach evangelism while some others have helped with our school
      supplies and Christmas projects.

5.  Can our youth group work with OAM?

YES! Many youth groups have worked with us during the summers doing outreaches
with children. The students will learn how to use the paint board, learn to do a few
illusions, and discover what evangelism is all about. They will then go out "to the
streets" and put their new knowledge and skills into practice.

6.   What is the accountability for this  ministry?

OAM, Inc. is a licensed, non-profit ministry. Joe Toy, director of this ministry,
is a licensed minister and commissioned missionary with the Evangelical
Congregational Church. The board of directors for this ministry meets two
      times a year.
